A Photographer /  A Christian  /  A Daughter  /  A Sojourner

"My artwork is not about creating new things; it is just a constant visualization of what I believe."

Michelle Wang (Zichun Wang) was born in 2001 in Beijing, China, growing up in a family with an artistic atmosphere. In the fall of 2021, she started to study photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York. As a Christian photographer, her artwork continuously expresses the understanding of beliefs, relationships, and life’s truths. Often draws inspiration from biblical stories and truths, using metaphor to examine topics from a faith-based perspective, exploring themes like Life and Death, the Holy Spirit, Hope, Redemption, Resurrection, and Eternal Life. Although each project varies in focus, they are united by a consistent approach: making complex or obscure spiritual truths understandable. Through various media combinations, including photography, video, installation, and photo books, she aims to share the gospel in diverse and meaningful ways.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers. (Psalm1:3 NIV)
